Relocation Package

Financial support an employer offers to help a new hire move for a job.

A relocation package covers some of the cost of moving for work — flights, shipping, temporary housing, sometimes visa and legal fees. It is most relevant for hybrid or on-site roles, but a few remote employers offer it to help people move somewhere better suited to the job.

For genuinely remote roles it is usually unnecessary, which is part of the appeal. If a "remote" job offers one, double-check whether the role actually expects you near an office.
