Background Check

A verification of a candidate's history — identity, work, education and sometimes criminal record — before hiring.

A background check confirms that what you presented is accurate: previous employment, education, identity, and in some roles a criminal-record or credit check. It usually happens after an offer, as a final step before you start.

For remote and cross-border hires, checks can take longer and follow local privacy rules. Being upfront, and having your references and documents ready, keeps this stage smooth so a real offer isn't held up.
