Probation Period
A probation period is the first stretch of a new job — commonly one to six months — used to confirm the role is a good fit. During it, notice requirements are usually shorter and termination is simpler for both sides.
It is standard in many countries and nothing to fear, but do clarify its length and what "passing" it means. Strong onboarding during probation is a good sign a remote employer is set up to support you.
