Performance Review

A structured evaluation of an employee's work over a period, tied to feedback, pay and promotion.

A performance review is a formal assessment — often quarterly or yearly — of how you have performed against goals and expectations, feeding into feedback, raises and promotions. Good ones are based on clear objectives and evidence, not impressions.

Remote reviews should judge output, not hours online or visibility — one reason documenting your work matters. Ask early how performance is measured so there are no surprises at review time.
