Moonlighting

Taking on a second job or side work outside your primary employment, usually in your own time.

Moonlighting means working a secondary job — freelance gigs, a side business, evening shifts — alongside your main one. Unlike overemployment, it is often part-time and may be permitted, though many contracts require disclosure or restrict competing work.

Remote work makes moonlighting easier, but check your employment agreement first: undisclosed side work that conflicts with your employer can breach contract terms.
