What Does a Consultant Do?
A consultant is brought in to solve a problem the in-house team can't or shouldn't solve alone: entering a new market, fixing a broken process, choosing a platform, or steering a large change. They diagnose, recommend, and often stay to help implement, working across several clients rather than one employer.
Consulting has moved heavily remote — most of the work is analysis, workshops and documents delivered over calls. It rewards structured thinking and the ability to earn trust fast with people you have never met in person.
