Location-Independent Pay

A pay model where everyone in the same role and level earns the same, regardless of where they live.

Location-independent (or "global") pay gives every employee in a given role and level the same salary band, no matter their country. These roles are highly sought after — someone in a lower-cost region can earn a top-market salary.

Because the pay is uniform, competition for these roles is global, so seniority and proven impact matter even more. It contrasts with location-based pay.
