What Does a Product Owner Do?

Owns and prioritises the backlog so a development team builds the right thing next.

A product owner represents the customer inside an agile team — maintaining and prioritising the backlog, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and making the day-to-day scope calls that keep a sprint focused. They work closely with the scrum master and engineers.

The role runs on written artefacts and ceremonies that translate cleanly to remote teams.
