Daily Standup
The daily standup is a brief meeting — traditionally 15 minutes — where each person covers what they did, what they will do next, and anything blocking them. It keeps a team aligned without long status meetings.
On remote teams, standups are often asynchronous: instead of a live call, everyone posts a written update in a shared channel. That respects timezones and protects deep work — a hallmark of mature async teams.
