What Does a Cloud Architect Do?

Designs an organisation's cloud infrastructure — scalable, secure and cost-effective.

A cloud architect plans how a company runs in the cloud: which services to use, how systems connect, and how to keep it all secure, scalable and affordable. They set standards, guide migrations, and balance performance against cost across providers like AWS, Azure or GCP.

It is a senior, high-impact role that is almost entirely remote-compatible, since the infrastructure itself lives in the cloud. Deep provider knowledge and architecture experience define it.
